Stacking medicinal herb garden
Herbalism is a century old practice that has been used by different cultures all over the world. It refers to the long historical use of certain medicines to support/supplement with the healing functions of the body. Due to the long tradition of using botanicals to promote health, the use of herbs is well established and widely acknowledged to be safe and effective.
It is the use of using plant material such as seeds, stems, wood, roots, flowers, fruits and many others that could be used whole, powdered or fragmented. Among most of the convenient inventions that are in the market, one that I found to be convenient and low maintenance is a Garden Stacker Garden.
The garden comes in 4 colours ( black, white, terracotta and tan). It allows you to grow your herbs year round, within the comfort of your own home. Its small size of 12″ x 12″ x 5″ makes it easy to find a place for it within your kitchen counter, without consuming a lot of your counter space. The convenient part of it is that it creates a great climate for growing your herbs, that later on you can transfer to a large space such as your garden or a large pot.
You can add other herbs if you already have some however, the kit already includes 12 herbs that you can start with. And how convenient is it that the kit comes with directions!!!!!
What is included:
1)Lemon Balm, Cayenne, Lemon Bergamot, Peppermint, Fever Few, Valerian, Echinacea, Burdock, Yarrow, German chamomile, Astragalus and Milk Thistle.
2)Instruction sheet that tells you how to transplant from indoors/outdoors
3)To guarantee the right growing environment, it comes with a reusable garden tray and dome.
4)Peat pellets
Depending on where you purchase the item, it can be found anywhere from $50.00 to $80.00. Either way, it is definitely a great kit for novice and experienced gardeners alike. And remember, it will give you fresh herbs year round; especially during the colder months.
